ARTICLE TYPES
The Macedonian Journal of Anaesthesia publishes the following categories of contributions.
Scientific Articles
These manuscripts undergo peer review.
• Original Articles – reports of basic or applied scientific research.
• Review Articles – comprehensive analyses of existing scientific literature on topics relevant to anaesthesia, reanimation, intensive care medicine and related fields.
• Case Reports – descriptions of rare clinical cases, unusual complications, or innovative diagnostic or therapeutic approaches.
• Letters to the Editor – brief scientific comments, discussions, or observations related to articles published in the Journal or to relevant topics in the field.
Professional and Informational Contributions
These contributions may be editorially reviewed and may not undergo full peer review.
• Therapeutic and Technological Innovations – descriptions of new techniques, procedures, technologies or therapeutic approaches relevant to anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
• Discussions and Critiques – analytical or opinion-based articles discussing controversial issues or current developments in the field.
• Surveys – reports of professional surveys or questionnaires related to clinical practice or professional issues.
• Impressions from Meetings / Meeting Reports – summaries of scientific congresses, conferences or professional meetings.
• Information on International Conferences – announcements or reports related to international professional events.
• Reviews of New Books or Educational Materials – critical assessments of recently published books or educational resources relevant to anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
• News and Announcements – information about professional activities, society news, awards, educational events, or other developments relevant to the field.
